Les Eyzies

Les Eyzies de Tayac : in the heart of the Black Perigord, the complete tourist region
with one of the most distinguished in the world and Land of Prehistorv.
Centred between Perigueux, Bergerac and Sarlat, the town receives over 600 000 visitors per years
from all over the world. The exchange bureau is, by far, the largest in the department.
Famous sites, sometimes situated in neighbouring villages but which form a coherent whole with those
of les Eyzies where the concentration is at its peak: Font-de-Gaume, les Combarelles, Laugerie-Basse,
Pataud and Gorge d'Enfer shelters, Cap Blanc and Bernifal. Finally the National Museum of Prehistory
attracts 300 000 visitors per year who have come to view the most renowned collections in the world.
There are also le Grand Roc an outstanding stalagmite cave, and in Tursac Le Prehisto Parc and
the cave dweller La Madeleine. Hotels and restaurants (including famous ones) camp sites and self accomodation
facilities welcome tourists w4o have come to see famous sites. Praof that Les Eyzies is a true centre of interest for all.
